Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night will keep Portlanders from our food carts … so it’s nice to see more and more covered seating areas at pods popping up all over town. And Prost Marketplace on Mississippi has plenty of room to release your inner caveman and eat a giant beef rib from Matt’s BBQ by a fire pit.
If you’d like a more plant-based option, Native Bowl has a lovely variety of tofu or chik’n bowls … the Broadway being the most popular. If you’re a spicy pepper, go for the Buffalo: A big portion of Sriracha lime buffalo chik’n, dill peppercorn ranch, cilantro, kale super food salad, carrots and scallions on a bed of jasmine rice.

I’m kicking myself for not getting a taco to-go from Little Conejo since the special of the day was brussel sprouts last time I was there.
