My current favorites on Mt. Tabor – Portland’s very own extinct volcano:

• Sunset at the upper reservoir. Make it a picnic with burritos from Los Gorditos, banh mis from Best Baguette or charcuterie from Olympia Provisions Public House.

• Night tennis on the well-lit courts surrounded by trees overlooking the lower reservoir.

• Steller’s jay sightings at the top! These birds are super smart and way harder to spot in PDX than their cousin – the scrub jays.
