My current favorites on the bustling Belmont Street:
Why carry around boring coffee or tea to keep warm when you could be holding the Bigfoot Breakfast Burrito from the Fatsquatch food cart. Hearty, “cheezy,” plant-based comfort food including maple soy “bacun.”
Takeout: The House Special Curry from Pad Thai Kitchen. But if you’re ordering to-go, tack on a noodle dish (like pad see ew) because the takeout portions are GIGANTIC.
Take the kids: $3.50 movies + nickel arcade games at the Avalon. Playing this week: Spiderman Into the Spiderverse (the animation is incredible) and Mary Poppins Returns.
Then if you survive the nickel arcade, your liquid reward awaits at Circa 33. I recommend the Lucid Dream c.2018: Havana Club Anejo Classico rum, Lucid absinthe, Grand Marnier, yellow chartreuse, citrus, egg white.
