June 15th is World Tapas Day and there’s currently a Tapas Tour of PDX underfoot this week. While the delicious Ataula and Chesa have gained a large following, my favorite Portland tapas spot remains Toro Bravo. Here are the must-haves!:
- Bread, butter and olive oil
- Radicchio salad (topped with olive tapenade toasts and manchego!)
- Salt cod fritters (I order salt cod fritters everywhere in town and these are the best.)
- Chanterelles in Sherry Cream sauce (seasonal)
- Paella
- Bacon-wrapped dates
- Panna Cotta for dessert
