According to the Portland Nursery veggie calendar now is the time to get those tomato starts in the ground! I recently picked up a few at Fred Meyer (all heirlooms!) You could also score some at PDX farmers markets this weekend. And while you wait for the fruits of your labor to appear, you’ll just have to sample my favorite tomato sauces around town!:
