Mt. Tabor has a lot to offer humans and animal friends alike. There’s a massive, off-leash area on the south side of the park that features a nicely fenced-in segment of trails offset from car traffic. It’s large enough for big dogs to sprint after tennis balls while allowing ample space for little dogs like Duffy to watch from a distance or find his own trail to sniff. When leashed, dogs have access to the entire park except the amphitheater. There are usually bowls of water conveniently placed throughout the trails. The park is closed to cars on Wednesdays which is great for joggers, but remember to look both ways before crossing the roads since it’s the busiest day for cyclists. And don’t forget to check out the Adult Soap Box Derby in August!
