Multnomah is a hilly, forested neighborhood with endless walking possibilities for Duffy the Real Estate Dog. His favorite is the off-leash area at Gabriel Park, which is full of amenities for the whole family: picnic tables, playground, soccer, baseball and softball fields, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, and a massive skatepark. Plenty of other parks are nearby as well, including Council Crest with its stunning views of the city. And after walking? Duffy likes cooling off while his humans have a beer at the Lucky Labrador Public House (pictured).
Multnomah’s proximity to Hillsdale makes the Fred Meyer and Food Front Co-op accessible for groceries. Barbur World Foods (for specialty goods) is even closer and John’s Marketplace, a block off Capitol Highway, is the mountaintop for imported beer lovers.
A final, huge perk for Multnomah residents is the zoning for Wilson High School, considered one of the country’s very best.
