The crown jewel of Piedmont is Peninsula Park. Over 100 years old, it has a gorgeous sprawl of formal rose gardens surrounding a giant fountain. Duffy the Real Estate Dog loves taking a (leashed) stroll through the meticulously-groomed hedges while stopping to smell every single rose. The garden area feels like a mini-Versailles making Peninsula Park a popular summer wedding locale with its giant gazebo. It also has picnic benches, basketball facilities and a large field for softball and soccer. And on summer scorchers, there’s a splash pad and an outdoor pool at the community center. Fun fact: The pool once served as a temporary holding area for penguins before their spot at the zoo was ready!
