If you haven’t ventured out into the North Portland quadrant of Portland , and you are looking for a good urban lifestyle, you are missing out. It has fabulous access to public transportation, it is close to downtown as well as great freeway access.

North Portland is made up of multiple neighborhoods, Overlook is one of my favorites due to its diverse architecture and its quaintness. This neighborhood in the north sits just east of the Willamette River. Another established area is University Park , treelined streets with beautiful homes as well as home to the University of Portland. Go Pilots!

The Adidas Headquarters is located in North Portland which has brought a diverse demographic to the community. Employees who want to live close to work have helped form a new vibe in this part of the city. Lots of coffee shops and new digs line the areas nearby the campus, even a new set of food carts.

Venture out to that side of town and you will be pleasantly surprised! It is still an affordable area of town to buy a cute bungalow or cottage!
