Susie Knows Washington Park

It’s easy to spend a whole day in the 400 acre Washington Park just to the west of downtown Portland. Hike the 15 miles of trails, play tennis in the sky overlooking the rose garden and stunning views of Mt. Hood. Stroll through the majestic Japanese Garden or the free Hoyt Arboretum. I recently learned that the International Rose Test Garden is the oldest continuously operated rose garden in the USA! The MAX provides easy access to the Oregon Zoo (perfect for Summer Concerts). Or take the kids to the Children’s Museum on the first Friday of the month and get free admission from 4 to 8pm.

I have an upcoming listing near the park – a “Northwest Contemporary in the Trees” –  from which a 5-minute jog will put you under the giants in Hoyt Arboretum. Want to know more? (503) 970-9866 or susie@windermere.com
