Duffy the Real Estate Dog is a big fan of neighborhoods with a park in the middle. For Parkrose Heights that’s Knott Park, with lots of open field space for athletics and play equipment for the kids. In Parkrose Heights, cyclists and joggers have convenient access to the I-205 multi-use path almost in their backyard. This is a huge perk for residents as this trail spans nearly 20 miles from Vancouver, WA to Gladstone, OR in addition to connecting with the Springwater Trail which is major non-motorized through-way of Southeast Portland. And coming soon in 2017, the Gateway Green recreation area will be developed putting Parkrose Heights residents in walking distance to a forested patch of nature trails right at the base of Rocky Butte that used to house a county jail!
