Susie Knows Kenton, Part 2

While Kenton has just about everything one needs in a tiny, convenient bubble, its proximity to the interstate, MAX line, bus lines, and bike routes make it a prime locale for movers and shakers. Popping on the interstate can get you to downtown or to any of the various east side hubs (Hollywood, Laurelhurst, Hawthorne, Division) in 10 minutes. Or go for a mega, scenic bike ride along the Columbia River. But if staying close to home is more your speed, grab a World Famous Garden Scramble at the Portland staple Cup & Saucer Cafe or catch a show at the Kenton Club. This historic dive bar lacks hipster pretension, rarely charges a cover, and its acoustics make it a favorite destination for both musicians and music fans alike.
