On my last visit to Westmoreland I had to stop, along with eight other cars, to let a waddling family of geese cross the road on their way to a park. South of the Brooklyn neighborhood and north of Sellwood, Westmoreland has small town charm despite its proximity to downtown Portland. There’s lots of gorgeous neighborhood space here. Lots of cared-for homes with sidewalk garden plots. Living here means you’re a close walk to stunning views overlooking the Willamette River AND a close walk to movies at the historic Moreland Theater on the main artery of Milwaukee Ave.
