Looking for a fun festive holiday evening? I’ve got just the thing!
If you mention Peacock Lane in conversation, most Portland natives will know what you are talking about. A street full of little gingerbread houses, or at least that’s what it looks like during this time of year. Every single house is lit up with tons of lights.
This tradition of Portland’s well known “Christmas Street” has been a thing to the public for over 50 years. This year the street opens up to the public Dec. 15th through the 31st, running from 6pm to 11pm. The street looks like it comes straight from a Hallmark Christmas movie and is great for all ages. You will hear Christmas music playing, you can grab a hot chocolate or cider and of course all the different lights to admire. Perfect if you are trying to get in the
full blown Christmas spirit!
