Susie Knows the Spooky Housing Market

With the upcoming Halloween weekend we’re taking a look at the perceived scary housing market. Yes, it’s different from the Spring Seller’s Market but homes are still moving with our team! For sellers, a well-prepared home in a desirable location with proper marketing can still turn heads. For buyers, the right negotiating team can help tip contracts in your favor with sellers offering to help with closing costs & rate buydowns. Here’s a look at some of our recent client success stories in the Moran Homes Web!

SOLD! Laurelhurst Arts and Crafts Bungalow:

After 35 years in their home Terry & George have retired and moved on. This stunning Laurelhurst bungalow had 25 showings in 4 days and one solid offer to get them to the finish line. Terry & George worked diligently with our team of contractors and Josh over the last 9 months to get the house show-ready. Huge congrats & happy retirement!

Sold! (Representing Buyers) Rose City Park Bungalow:

Maddie and Michael were referred to us by previous clients. (Thank you!) They relocated to Portland with their young son knowing that they would be able to buy their first home. Jamie and I listened to their needs and while they went through a few heartbreaks at first, in the end they found a perfect spot to set their roots and raise their family. What a great story!

Sold! (Representing Buyers) Raleigh Hills Ranch:

Newly engaged Connor and Emma reached out to me a few months ago about the home buying process. I have known Connor since infancy (!) as his parents are dear friends of mine. It is extra special to be able to help these young adults who I have watched grow up buy their first home. Jamie and I found a few great neighborhoods to hone in on and eventually landed on the perfect home right in the backyard of Jesuit High – Connor’s old stomping ground!! Huge Congrats, Connor and Emma!

Sold! (Representing Buyer) Piedmont Bungalow:

Josh led the way with our buyer Stephen. Stephen is another young adult I have known for years, a dear friend of my daughter Molly. Stephen was looking for a home that he could build equity with as well as one big enough to accommodate a roommate to offset his mortgage. Being the CPA minded guy he is, this was very important! After a few false alarms Josh helped Stephen find the perfect 4 bedroom home for him to make his own. SO happy for you Stephen!

Sold! (Representing Buyer) Rose City Craftsman Bungalow:

Mithra and Peter had been living in the heart of San Francisco, unable to purchase a house after making 6 offers in 8 months with no luck. This may have been a sign, as they then decided to secure remote employment and set their sights on a new life in the Northwest. The process here was much easier: They picked out a house, jumped on the plane, made an offer without competition and secured their dream home. A new chapter has opened for them in an amazing house in the heart of NE PDX!

To our happy new home owners and retirees – Congrats and happy trails. Thank you for putting your trust in our team. And to our friends and family, thank you so much for your continued support with words of encouragement and referrals! We wish you all a happy and safe Halloween Weekend.
