Susie Knows Covered Outdoor Patios

With the holidays fast approaching a potential influx of relatives may be in your near future. So today we’re sharing some of our favorite outdoor spots that have covered patios for all meals of the day – from French toast to French 75 nightcaps! We’re thankful that so many Portland foodie spots have brought out the whole construction crew to accommodate social distancing and help make everyone feel comfortable while grabbing a bite with the fam…

Prost! / Mississippi Market – Grab a German beer at Prost! and head outside to the huge selection of food carts including Desi PDX and Matt’s BBQ. BloodBuzz serves coffee & cocktails. (North Portland)

Bar Bar – Burgers, veggie burgers, dog-friendly sweet spot on Mississippi Ave.

Yakuza Lounge – Fried kimchi, sushi rolls (seafood and vegan options) and sake on a heated patio … Open Thurs-Sunday for dinner on 30th & Killingsworth.

NEPO42 – Big ole heated tent to accommodate a large group! Brunch, burgers, beer & open til 10 pm each day.

Tacovore – Tacos, margs and guac at that bright blue building with the big skull on NE Fremont.

Screen Door – Mile-high chicken and waffles and other southern fare with a PNW twist. Brunch and dinner on East Burnside.

Petite Provence – Locations all over town for a classic coffee & croissant or breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Güero – Giant tortas to satisfy carnivores and vegans alike on NE 28th Ave. The Masa y Papa vegan option (add the pineapple habanero sauce) is the best plant-based sandwich in the whole city.

Montelupo Italian Market – Chanterelle fusili and a glass of house-mulled wine under a heated tent! On the 28th Ave restaurant row between Burnside and Glisan.

Sapphire Hotel – Tableside heaters and craft cocktails. Perfect date night spot or for a reward after a Mt. Tabor hike.

Bar West Local & sustainable Happy Hour, Dinner & Weekend Brunch … Chicken or Chickpea! Parmesan Sandwich and a Negroni made with Green Chartreuse?! Yes, please! Located on NW 21st Ave & Overton.

North45 – We like this spot for weekday Happy Hours (4-6pm) with fried brussels sprouts, roasted butternut squash bites and an awesome selection of Belgian beers. On NW 21st Ave.

More favorites with covered outdoor tables: Migration Brewing, Food Pods like the Zipper on Sandy, Cartopia on 12th & Hawthorne, McPeet’s for Blazer games, Oaks Bottom Public House in Sellwood (kid-friendly!)

Stay warm & stay safe!
