Susie Knows Fall Florals

My friend – the fabulous interior designer – Kimberlee Jaynes (kimberleejaynes.com) just did an excellent write-up on fall trends. She points to bright + bold shapes and folkloric inspirations on the horizon along with my favorite: BIG florals. Here are some fun fall finds currently available in PDX and/or online!

Kimberlee recommends flavorpaper.com for wallpaper. Check out this lush “Feroz” (!!!)

And finally … a secret DIY tip! Have you ever been disappointed by a museum gift shop for not having a print of that stunning piece you just saw in person? And then you looked everywhere and it’s not online either? Life hack alert! Find the image online – the larger the file, the better. Then upload it to a poster on Vistaprint! (Vistaprint ALWAYS has promo codes floating around too.) Place order. Find a funky frame. Voila!

(Obviously: Always buy the art when you can … especially from the living artists … but I don’t think it’ll hurt the feelings of those who’ve been 6 feet under for 175 years!)

Have you spotted any big fall florals in PDX? If so, send me a pic! Thanks, Kimberlee!
