I recently had the extreme pleasure to eat at Mae – a reservation only supper club in NE PDX off 42nd Ave. Specializing in “Southern Appalachian” cuisine, Mae offers a cozy atmosphere with dishes served family-style. I had the hands-down best iceberg salad, pimento mac ‘n’ cheese and sweet tea of my life and the fried chicken was out of this world. Open Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays and you can BYOB. 42nd Ave has become a formidable restaurant row for residents of the Beaumont-Wilshire and Cully neighborhoods!
