If you’re a Portlander who’s pumpkinless, costumeless, and somehow wanting to feel more scared in 2016 … here ya go!
Pumpkins?
-Sauvie Island Pumpkin Patch is a great outing for the kids.
-A quicker option is Dennis’ 7 Dees Garden Center which has carving pumpkins for $5.
Costumes?
–Red Light Exchange on Hawthorne
–Hollywood Vintage on NE Sandy (the motherlode!)
Frights?
-The free Doll Asylum in NE PDX
–FrightTown (a collection of creepy haunted houses) at the Memorial Coliseum
Pass! I’m going to a movie!
–Laurelhurst Theater is playing the original “Let the Right One In” (2008, Swedish) and it’s a perfect, terrifying film.
Pass! I’m staying in!
–Movie Madness on SE Belmont has you covered.
-So does the scary “Babadook” on Netflix.
-So does the surprisingly large selection of wine at Fred Meyer!
Happy Halloween!
