Susie Knows Alameda, Part 2

Fremont Avenue is the main east-west artery of Alameda where a short walk east can land you in a Northeast restaurant hotbed with the likes of tapas at Smallwares or a pint at Alameda Brewing Co. Or stay right in the neighborhood for a wood-fired pizza at Lucca which attracts families in the earlier hours and couples later into the night. Itโ€™s located right next to the expansive Garden Fever for the greenthumbs. Grant Parkโ€™s playground, tennis court and track are a short walk away, too. Rather stay indoors? Alameda is a prime location for moviegoers as itโ€™s right in a triangle of theaters old and new: The two cineplexes at Lloyd Center, the second-run Kennedy School to the northeast, and the historic Hollywood Theater to the south.
