Every 3 minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer. But it doesn’t have to be this way. I’ve recently joined the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to bring awareness and raise funds to help people like 7-year-old Portlander Wesley Strobel. He loves eating chicken nuggets, fishing, playing soccer and riding bikes with his older brother Zach, but 2 years ago his life took a big detour when he was diagnosed with High-Risk Philadelphia-like B-cell acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
(Donations appreciated here.)
I’ll keep this short. We’re in a sprint. From now until May 17, 2024 my team’s goal is to raise $50,000. It will go directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s funding for cutting-edge research. The kind of research that continues to improve life for cancer patients. The kind of research that helped Wesley ring the bell on March 1, 2024 – when his cancer treatment completed.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s relentless pursuit of a cure has led to remarkable advancements in targeted therapies, immunotherapy and precision medicine, offering hope where there was once despair.
If you are able to make a donation at this time it would be deeply appreciated. A tax-deductible contribution could be made directly here. I thank you in advance for supporting this incredible need. We’ll keep you posted on how the campaign goes. For now, the whole team and I are grateful for your friendship and support.
