Susie Knows Snow Days (Portland, OR)

Hi friends! Hope this finds you safe and warm in the PDX Ice Storm 2024. With schools closed and the roads unnavigable we’ve found ourselves enjoying this bonus time spent with loved ones and hobbies. Here’s what we’ve been up to…what about you? If you have movie, book, games and recipe recs, please send them along!

Susie: I am so thankful we haven’t lost power and feel so fortunate to have been able to welcome a few of my clients into our warm, cozy house after they lost power in theirs! Baby Alice has been mesmerized by the fire – what a distraction she’s been from this week of havoc!

2 great books here I highly recommend and my favorite card game: Pitch!

Matt and fam enjoyed a sledding extravaganza at Irving Park:

Jamie has been cuddling dogs and watching the new season of “Fargo” on Apple, cooking (turkey stroganoff, kale & white bean soup) and a puzzle! And Ryan started a new hobby making bread… yum!

Josh and Megan have been hunkering down, cooking up delicious meals, binge-watching “The Crown” and, naturally, whipping up some fantastic hot toddies!

We have all been so fortunate to barely lose power and stay toasty while other Portlanders have experienced unimaginable hardships. If you need any help getting through this icy stretch please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
