Happy New Year, Friends!

This new year feels especially fresh for me on many levels: We are starting it off in a new neighborhood after leaving our Colonial Heights home of 37 years. We are now NE transplants and love every part of it, (except for maybe the east winds and the Rose City Park coyotes which keep us on high alert for our dog Bella). I am so excited to get to know my new neighbors and discover new establishments to share with you!

This new year is different for me on a health level as well: With 3 new joints replaced over the last 12 months I truly feel like a new person with a fresh lease on life!! I am finding new walking paths and pickleball courts and am so thankful to be able to be back.

Lastly, we welcomed a wonderful new family member in 2023 – Josh Moran Velasquez – and we’re excited for another one to be joining us this September: Mr. Matt Banner. We couldn’t be happier.

Happy New Year! As the new year rolls in and I am on the brink of my 50th year around the sun, the goal is to enjoy more time with family and friends! More time doing the things I love and with the people that make me smile. Work hard and play even harder.

I love where we live and I love to share it with others. 2024 is all about making things happen!!

Jamie:

After our honeymoon adventures in Sydney and New Zealand, I noticed many similarities between the landscapes of New Zealand and home! So this year I’ve resolved to explore the Pacific Northwest more, and appreciate it for all its wonders. If you have favorite camping, hiking, hot springs and general adventuring spots right here in our backyard, I’d love to hear about them!

Josh:

Kicking off the year with a date night twist! Megan and I took our yearly goal-setting shenanigans to a new spot: The Windermere Portland-MLK conference room! Takeout, a trusty whiteboard and lots of big plans in the making. Cheers to a year of getting it done!
