This weekend kicks off an instant-classic tradition in Portland: Kickstand Comedy in the Park – A free showcase of comedians doing sets under the trees of Laurelhurst Park to an audience of hundreds! Last year the fun was every other Friday and the park was packed every time. This year the shows will be every Friday!
Bring a blanket or a chair, your dog, and your food and beverage of choice to sit back and discover your next favorite Portland comedian. Kids are welcome but just be forewarned that there is definitely some R-rated material at times. I HOWLED at a few of the comedians last summer!
In a time where the cost of living is as high as ever, it’s awesome to have an event that is accessible to everyone. Plus, it’s nice to have a way to watch comedy that isn’t in a dark bar! See you all there!
